We're really lucky to be in a MEGA Steelhead Area.  The Pike, Root, Oak, Milwaukee, Menomonee, Sheboygan, Kewaunee and Oconto are a few great fisheries in our area!  The Great Lakes are a tremendeous location to steelhead.  Our unique fishery is perfect for small tributary steelhead fishing.  Our SE WI streams recieve a great run of fish every year.

Wisconsin has 5 Different Strains of steelhead to catch.  We've got the summer run Skamania, Ganarask and Chambers Creek.  Recently ('03) the WI DNR started stocking the Arlee and Kamloop strain.....FOOTBALLS!  These things are freakin' Footballs!

The ROOT RIVER STEELHEAD FACILITY is a major steelhead management facility.  This facility is located in the heart of Racine, WI along the banks of the Root River.

SE WI has an awesome brown trout fishery.  Football size brown trout that are as big as salmon!
